I spent a couple of days in St. Louis before returning home

The rest of the month I was busy, busy, busy. After New York, I was then in L.A., Boston, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Chicago. I had a few hiccups in my travels, like a canceled flight home from NY due to weather, so I had to spend an extra night there. In Philadelphia my flight was delayed, so the airline called and rescheduled me on another flight on another airline, so I had to walk to the new terminal where that one was departing. As soon as I got to that terminal, the fire alarm was sounding, and the lights and power were out. Finally the alarm ended, and I learned the terminal had been struck by lightening. The flight couldn’t depart until the power was back on. So then the airline called and rebooked me on another flight. Back at the “other” terminal, I learned I was on the last flight to Chicago, and that one was delayed also, waiting for the computer system to get back online after the lightening strike. It took a few extra hours, but I finally made it to Chicago. But when I arrived in Chicago, my bags didn’t, so I had to wait almost an entire day before getting my bags. I had to reschedule a bunch of stuff, which was a headache, but thankfully everyone was very understanding. On the fun side, earlier on this east coast swing, I was able to get out and visit some of the sites in D.C., which I have to say is very beautiful in the evenings, all lit up, and a little less busy than when I’ve been there during the day.
Had to stop at the grocery store where I had a funny in the produce dept. and saw some incredibly oversized watermelons. I do love asking the produce guys if they have anything bigger in the back room while there eyes go back and forth from the melon I’m holding to the ones hanging from my chest:) Always thought it would be cool if I wore a watermelon shirt and stood next to the watermelon bin and if guys would notice the difference or mistakenly grab my boobs! Also while on the road I saw all the hype about the movie “Sharknado.” It seems really goofy and got me thinking: How about Boobnado or Bigtitnado? Also was so happy to hear about Kate and William and baby George! Loveeeeeeee the Royal family! |

Just love boutiquing, rocking and hiking. Where else can you have wild rice pizza, kraut and sausage tacos, and amazing fresh fish, just out of the lake? The days were beautiful and sunny, and nights in the low fifties, perfect for curling up under the blankets alone or with a special someone (or two:)). Not sure why there are more stars in the skies up there at night than at home, but I’ve never seen more. We enjoyed s’mores every night, and grilled veggies and brats, burgers, fish and steaks over the campfire.

The weekend went by very quickly and before I knew it Sunday had arrived and I was back in the air. This time, after my last stage set, I had barely enough time to shower and clean up, before hopping on a plane. I was heading to San Francisco for a couple of days. From there I went directly to Las Vegas!
After that, I managed to get home for a couple of days to unpack/repack before heading to Seattle for a few days, and then on to New York from there. My frequent flier miles are really racking up now. Love the word ‘RACK’. I’ve got to be close to the million-miler club now! Speaking of millions, there seemed to be about that many people at the Minnesota State Fair. I even got squirted! More on that later!
